I mean, I would if I had money to do that.
Or friends
But Doctor, I am the one sad about a girl.
Good joke.
Even then its kinda a touchy thing to pay for a guy friend. Its like saying they can’t do it themselves. Unless its clear you are doing so well to pay the tab. Then again I guess its poor friend, better off friend things. I knew some guys who were big on buying rounds. Was always a bit leery to go out with them for a night on the town.
The idea is to get him drunk enough that he forgets to pay for himself.
oof. my friends and I are to old for that kinda drunk.
If you can find just about any damn excuse to treat a friend, to celebrate, to commiserate, then damn well take it! That’s the stuff that the good life is made from
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:One of my favorite poems
I remember my school teacher introducing it to us at a time that I simply couldn’t appreciate it. I presented a different poem to him, one I found with little effort or meaning, and he looked me soberly in the eye and gave me a low mark.
He must have questioned what the point of his career even was dealing with a kid like me, and I wish I could go back in time or reach out to him now (if he’d even remember me) and tell him that - yes, it took a few decades for it to sink in, but his efforts to better my wordly horizons with the written word did in fact reach me at a fundamental level, and his teaching career was not in vain
Even the old method was to go get wasted together and do something, same energy
That’s how I got wasted, danced on the tables, got my bare ass almost caught by the cops, kissed one of my friends and got him out of the closet and got into a fistfight with my bike.
Not bad for one night.
Damn! That sounds like a great night!
just a regular tuesday for me… I might have a problem though =\
Presumably if your friend trusts you enough to share this level of info you know enough to know how they might want to cope, and yes, being willing to make big gestures to help people feel better is an awesome thing.
But in general, just say nice things to your guy friends more often. People never fucking compliment us or say nice things to us. Ever.
Hey, nice dick bro. I gotchu. <3
Maybe start smaller first (pun intended).
I don’t know about dinner, but I’d take him to the pub and talk about it over drinks
That’s what I did last time.
Idk I don’t have any close male friends
I would not because I hate bowling.
“what do you mean you hate bowling Niko??”
*any relevant bonding activity
Like, cuddling, caressing his chest and making eye contact, while softly telling him you like his new hair style?
I mean, that part goes without saying
Bowling, if he wanted to. Otherwise, beers. T
Sounds like a good time!
honestly, if i had disposable income, my bros would never have to pay for anything.
