What is one even supposed to be afraid of in this situation
Sorry I think the text was covering up what spooked me the most.

Tree tunnels are awesome.
when my town cuts them down to widen the road is huge disappointment
I went through such roads in the UK, too. Imagine clinging, slowing and stopping to the left side that your left mirror is stuck in the vegetation while a lorry to your right goes warp speed while nearly taking out your right mirror…
There’s your mistake. You must accelerate to establish dominance over the larger vehicle.
It’s only scary when the light shines on the path like that.
Go ahead, turn off the lights… you certainly will not regret turning off the lights…
Hell, I’d go. That road looks blissfully awesome
OMG, I would love to visit that place
There’s a Stephen King short story about a woman obsessed with finding shortcuts who ends up finding a route between two places that is shorter than their distance.
This picture is how I imagined that road.
That was my first thought too. I just reread Skeleton Crew a few weeks ago. Mrs. Todd’s Shortcut, if anyone’s interested. Going through the dark tower series again now and really love how even short stories like Mrs. Todd get tied in.
Y’all live in the cornfields or something? This just looks like a normal east coast road.
Im afraid of cornfields too.

That lead’s to the Baker’s home. NOPE.
Would.
fairy laughter
Hell yeah! I’m going down the dark and scary road.
Precious.
