Sometimes you’d roll up and they’d be coating our patient in essential oils (not exaggerating, I’ve seen it), and sometimes you’d roll up and family would hand you a doctor’s printout of the patients medication list and calmly explain to you the patients medical history, what doctors they were seeing, and what for.

It wasn’t. It was “healing oils”. A bottle of essential oils that said it would fix anything. It deserved the bin

That is great to hear! I wouldn’t assume they are all monolithic, but the last part of that sounds better than I’d have pictured.
There are sub groups within Amish. The zealots are the worst. They are also the poorest and least educated.
