Athletes with moral integrity need to publicly declare that they won’t play for authoritarians.
That’s like telling a kid they can’t do what they love doing because their parents are bad people. You do you I guess. It’s not like those athletes have any other option other than not doing what they love.
Almost every athlete started sporting when they were a kid, and it’s the passion and competitiveness they developed back then that is pushing them to reach top sport levels.
