5·2 days agoWhat better place than Ireland to shake up the religious and threaten apocalyptical anti-Christ warnings. Good on Ireland and fuck Shady Vance’s puppetmaster.
That was pretty invasive I must say. Even at the grocery store, everywhere I looked it was FIFA on deodorant, cookies, cans of soup, flags, towels, napkins, shorts, hot dogs…etc., etc., ad infinitum. Sheesh!
The trademarked poor are wealthy compared to just the regular poor. /s

Technology@lemmy.world•FCC approves giant space mirror as astronomers warn of risks to the night skyEnglish
9·3 days agoI read about 20 years ago that they were doing this “satellite mirror” thing in Norway in a town nestled between two mountains that rarely saw any sun. I thought it was feasible and incredible and I believed it at the time. After reading this I see I was a victim of even more bullshit claims. Thankfully I only told about fifteen people about this so, not too much fake news damage done.

21·4 days agoI still can’t believe the grotesquely huge amounts of copper they use in those data centers. Now we know why they got rid of the penny. Copper everywhere. As far as the eye can see!

131·4 days agoStock valuations do not mean anything anymore. The stock market is now nothing more than an overly manipulated, raped dead horse. Ask “Questtrade” (who is now pandering to Joe and Jane Sixpack to “invest”).
So are most citizens.

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question. How did you do the incremental address to address search? In my head I would start with “000.000.000.000” and then “000.000.000.001” and so on but that doesn’t account for the “000.000.000.1” scenario, or any combination thereof.

42·5 days agoThose are just internet/market speculation numbers, not of any real value. He’s no trillionaire, but his buddies own all the media so he gets the platforms and news cycles to say he’s a trillionaire. I’m a little pissed at George Orwell for giving them all of those ideas.

Car companies started “leasing” cars at the very beginning of starting to charge way too much for their assembly-line products. Will the government eventually give apple some of that hot “bail out” money in the future?
