I’m in favor of replacing ch with just c, so you’d have a kappakuolo and ceese sandwic. That way, it isn’t redundant and we have fewer special cases.

Also, “x” is usually redundant with “ks”, so use it for what’s currently “sh” to eliminate another redundancy and another special case.

Add back the thorn and eth for “th” and use “f” instead of “ph” and consonants are actually pretty consistent.

Edit: I can’t believe I forgot ditching the soft “g” and “s”, so it’d actually be ceeze.

Thanks for mentioning the comparison. It was farther down than I had previously scrolled. TL;DR frontlight, touchscreen, user-replaceable battery, but also bigger bezels, double the price, and looks to be 3D printed instead of injection-molded. Comes with open firmware instead of just allowing it, but that’s a non-factor to anyone with a little computer knowledge, which I suspect includes basically every potential buyer of this sort of device.

The XTEink X4 Pro has a front light and a touchscreen, but needs a magnetic adapter to charge (comes with one and they’re cheap to replace, but still an extra thing to lose). It’s $110 MSRP.

A perverse incentive occurs when it’s easier to game the system than to use it as intended. Most people don’t put extra effort into gaming the system. And you could always just set the reward at less than the value of the raw materials, so that they’d only profit if they were taking someone else’s cameras.

Not that you should do any of that, of course.

Definitely don’t go buy a bunch of cheap hacksaws and hand them out to unhoused people with a promise of cash for each camera. And certainly don’t tell them that the materials making up the camera are probably worth something and they can keep them after giving you proof of destruction.

I’m not sure this is even insider trading. It feels more like a bribe. I don’t think the news feed itself will be very useful.
