You know that scene in Forrest Gump where Forrest sees Lieutenant Dan on the shore and is so distracted by him that he jumps off and swims to shore, allowing the boat to crash into the dock?

The title made me think it was the sole surviving news source… like Forrest’s boat after the storm - being the sole survivor raking in all the shrimp.

I can hear the obituary getting prepared by killedbygoogle.com already.

I suspect getting the dates wrong is because websites ump their publish date when nothing has changed, which keeps them showing up in results for extended/indefinite periods.

Obviously Google should police that, but Google doesn’t use Google news I don’t think.
