It does not connect to te internet. The Pinephone was great for getting some mobile Linux projects back on track, but it’s not something that can actually be a decent phone. The Pinecil seems to be their best quality product, weirdly.

There very much is a security risk with the pincel since it uses bluetooth. Lessened since it isn’t classic IOT bs, but still important to make sure it has its security updates.
Oh, Pinecil v2 has Bluetooth. Weird.
Anyway, for those that don’t have the new model, it does not matter. And I’m pretty sure for the v2 it is not necessary to have it on.
The Pinecil works fine without it already.
