0·2 months agoOpenSUSE will almost certainly feel slower and heavier than Arch on any given hardware. Zypper is way way way slower than pacman, more stuff is installed out of the box, and at least personally I see a lot of slowdowns due to BTRFS doing various maintenance. There are a lot of great reasons to use OpenSUSE, I’ve been using Tumbleweed on my desktop for years, but this is not one of them.
what confuses me is that i have heard so many people talking about this community but i have never seen it. does lemmy.world block it or something?
