You have misinterpreted what I said. Iran has done a stellar job in defending itself and exposing the US. That said the US are far ahead economically than anyone else. They also have the global reserve currency meaning they can print their way out of any financial crisis and make the rest of the world hold the bag. They have vast resources. They secured Venezuela first as a backstop just in case. They blew up the Nord Stream 2 so Europe would have to buy more from them. They caused the Strait of Hormuz to close so Europe has to buy more from them. This is essentially a vassal tax on Europe. It also severely impacted China as China is Iran’s largest energy customer. They blow up countries on a whim meaning countries cannot consistently develop. Always back to square one. If they do this they don’t need to improve internally to maintain their hegemony they only need to keep others down. To be clear this is a short term strategy that is doomed to fail long term. China has out manoeuvred them and it’s only a matter of time before the circumstances change and they lose one of their levers. Once that happens they are well and truly fucked (hence the on-shoring manufacturing panic). In the mean time expect them to become ever more brutal. The transition will be dark times for the planet on levels we haven’t seen since WW2. The one thing I know for sure is there is no limit to the depths of their depravity. Much of Europe’s capitulation to their hegemony isn’t helping either.

You should also be aware that the artificial Cueta migrant crisis, the manufactured Greenland crisis and the recent US military partnership deal with Indonesia are all designed to isolate China’s trade routes. They are planning to control all the world’s trade choke-points.

Yes they are in terms of wasting Iran’s resources on rebuilding existing infrastructure rather than progressing. Same in Europe tbf. They have European governments fighting amongst themselves due to artificially created crises such as energy and migrants. It seems to me you are underestimating them.

I guess our definitions of success are vastly different. I have Cuban friends and they left because the situation is intolerable due to the sanctions. Over 1m Cubans have left since the pandemic. I come from a country that was occupied for hundreds of years. Now our government is complicit with the occupiers. Venezuela just got usurped in an evening. Russia is a fascist shithole. Only China has managed to have any kind of coherent strategy to combat this by weaponising the greed that built the system against it. You see where I’m going with this. Having the weekend off isn’t a victory. It’s a bare minimum and not worth celebrating. Women are still treated like shit. Success isn’t being allow work for the man whilst maintaining the expectation to also raise a family. The common man is so completely and utterly outplayed at the moment.

We have 200 years of failure. Even the left wing in the west are just another flavour of capitalist (and there’s an argument to be made in the east too at this stage). At no point did I say I was unconvinced that we should be resisting our kings. The fact is that capital (as in assets/things, ie not just financial) is power. In fact you do raise a good point. All progress gets erased by the pedos as soon as they get a chance. This is the environment we operate in so we need to factor that into any approaches we take. Anything we do needs to factor this in. There is no point in being well versed in theory but not being able to convert that into sustained action. This is why I am asking you what to do.
