I liked him a lot. I first learned about Jellyfin from his video just a few years ago. I would’ve bet money that Linus TT would be on such a list before Jeff Geerling. I don’t have a parasocial relationship or idolize YouTubers, but I’m definitely still disappointed. (Maybe I was a stupid fan, but now I’m just stupid 💀)

I bet there’s a bookmarking app that can output an RSS feed since they’re pretty simple; then you could just subscribe to it from any feed reader. You could possibly even build a simple one. Where do you want to be able to save bookmarks from? And what RSS reader do you use?

Do you simply want to bookmark posts you discover via RSS or do you wanna be able to add arbitrary links to it too?

I assume this was added in version 0.6.9 on purpose?

if the problem is that major platforms are centralized, opaque, and controlled by corporations, why would the solution be yet another centralized platform controlled by a corporation?

Because people are brainwashed into only trusting billionaires, corporations, brand names, and consumer packaged goods to solve all our problems.
