Hila was in the IDF (yes, it’s “mandatory” but you can also refuse and go to jail which is moral, or know the right people and excuses and dodge it, which Hila claimed she could have done, if I remember correctly) and both her and Ethan have stated people should be proud to serve. Hila herself went on a night raid in Ramallah (where she witnessed the kidnapping of a Palestinian) “because [she] was bored” when she wasn’t supposed to, and does not seem to regret it one bit.
