  • I don’t know, when you’re living in Minnesota and it was -40 a couple of weeks ago and it suddenly hits 30F, everyone is in shorts and T-shirts, it feels warm. And if you’re in Florida and it hits 30F ever, it feels cold. It’s definitely subjective. But it remains true that the US southwest has the record for the hottest weather recorded on earth, so far. That is objective.


  • I’m very similar. I have even lived in Europe a couple of times. But I don’t even try to think in Celsius anymore, I just don’t see a benefit and my brain rejects it. 90% of the time when I’m boiling water it’s high up on a mountain and it boils below 100C in elevation. Also who cares if the water is 95C or 200F, it’s not as hot as I’d like it to be.
