I’m in this boat (not the cake farts, I prefer muffins) but especially with ADHD I dont like that the phone “does it all”. My human brain doesn’t like that.
We all have millions of phone pics. No one cares. Looking at printed photos or pulling an old digital camera out to look at pictures is more meaningful.
I was more referring to people who refuse to use open source because they are locked into apple and think its good and “secure”. Well, this is what they get.

+1 for IT people that aren’t actually computer folks. I regularly am amazed what IT has zero idea about that I do in my spare time, but then I realize a normal person could be in IT. I thought you had to be a mega nerd.
Also people won’t use signal because no one is on it. EVERYONE here is on fb so they all use messenger and won’t leave no matter how horrible it is.

OK hear me out though. If you are just purchasing used movies at discount prices, the of creator never gets that money anyway, so pirating has 0 effect on that. However I can understand owning the physical media , and some stuff is getting harder to find torrents of. But I just wanted to make the point.
And if youre buying from artists anyway, everyone is better off if you pirate it then privately send them money as a donation. Or buy from bandcamp.
