Yeah, I’d say this is one of the very rare cases where willingly employing AI in one’s workload is fairly warranted. On a macro scale it’s obviously still bad, but considering how atrocious work conditions are in the manga/anime industry (and even in Japan overall) I’m usually going to be sympathetic toward a mangaka using AI for the sake of their own health and sanity, granted that they aren’t an outright shill for it.
