I cannot recommend this paper enough. LLMs produce a large amount of bullshit. Indeed, I meant mostly LLMs, but also image generating AIs. I don’t know of they have much in common in the way they work, but what is commonly described as generative AI. They are responsible for A) the hype and B) the horrible bullshit, mayhem and destruction being visited on the world ever since their spread.

That makes it look like AI was striving for functionality. But they are bullshit machines
