national divorce rates are not low

and how many people want out but can’t for various reasons

what numbers we do have point to more being unhappy than not

given the amount of unhappily married boomers and younger i’ve seen, kinda hard not to still see this as a net positive

and i say this as someone happily married for more than a decade but i feel like it’s survivorship bias on my part to ignore the vast amount of people with miserable relationships
