I’d say it would be a common use case but still never see people host it, a deadman switch sends notifications for you to check in, and if you miss enough of them sends selected contacts notifications and executes scripts

Isn’t just the client open source

Also take cash over mail

I don’t like it, the whole point to me is to not pay anyone to store thing on a computer that I don’t own. If you have a dedicated IP I would always prefer a homelab
SSH but i mostly do everything over dockhand which is a webuj for docker
Yeah yeah ill document everything one day, when all is “done”…
Jokes aside I just use outline for everything but I wanted something more lightweight as a kind of backup that works with plain text, other ones I didn’t quite like but this seems just right
I only host for my family and me otherwise use public servers, for that my server never consumed much resources at all and I never ran into these key issues people mention. I’ve been hosting it for 6 months. Idk despite it all Matrix just checks all the correct boxes is it not worth using even with the issues you had?
Matrix solution always worked good for me
Why does nobody like matrix? I get setup maybe used to be hard but I personally used ansible playbook and its really noob friendly and simple

Depends
Thats my post so yeah thats how secure it is right now, I have authelia infront of everything, besides some admin only thing which are only accessible over wireguard. I’d like to look into VLANS but have no hardware for it and it seems expensive

It will not be a 100 times better than this, you’d need the vpn setup already on every client, how could others ever connect to it? Its also just cool to have a domain and expose it properly, I already use a vpn for admin only things

sure but if there would be an exploit in authelia would f2b even help, isnt the way it works that it blocks mostly spam and known bad traffic? If its already known by filterlists i feel its safe to assume its patched in authelia

tell me more

i do have ratelimiting configured but yes i never tested it which i should

Uhh I’ll use this for my gaming clips library
homelab running linux mint with about 60 docker containers about 45w, meassured at the socket (2HDD)
