Depends on the cloud.

Or larger companies start to notice the large gaps in security affecting their bottom line due to reviews with large lines of code getting what’s a rubber stamp at best.
I’m guessing this will take years though, companies tend to not care unless they lose large contracts and are happy to throw individual managers or directors under the bus to appease a client.

Do they count us as active users when we open the google home app and have to dismiss their annoying purple glowing thing? It would be nice if they could specify what qualifies someone as active. We were already tired of relying on the “cloud” and replacing a product you already had seemed wasteful to integrate into home assistant better, but its more tempting each day.

Or some “tengen toppa gurren lagann” anime made it into the training data 😆
There is a whole thing about “spiral” individuals (which humans are part of) vs anti-spirals.

Great, I’ll just check with the HOA where I rent so they could tell me to fuck off on reflectice windows, mini splits and even 1 solar AC unit because I can’t afford a car dependent home in my area with jobs outside of this USian BS.
Jellyfin works well enough with swiftfin, but does have some annoyances e.g. subtitle and audio track support is tied to the player configured (native vs other).
It’s the more reliable client app I’ve experienced as long as you stick to 1080p though. 4k is a hit or miss, but that could be my network or server (although I do direct play when possible, but it still has the occasional issues).
