Why do you think Linux and FOSS are getting worse? It’s an enormous ecosystem… hard to say one way or the other, but there are a lot of really good mature products right now.
I think they’re responding to the original image which states “Is there anything that isn’t getting worse?”
I agree. Things are NUTS right now but there’s some truly incredible stuff going on in the open source anything space, and I’m happy to be here for it. :)
