I believe the comparison here is that the charging time for single cell can be lowered by adding another. In conventional parallel battery setup, they would remain the same or gets worsen when adding more. I am assuming you are thinking of a scenario where the number of cells remain same but the connection is changed from serial to parallel.
Either way it’s pretty much pointless to compare quantum mechanics with chemical or macro things (not sure what to call these) as the basic rules and theories are completely different.

I mean, they still can’t make energy from nothing, to charge a larger capacity faster with no side-effects (like requiring more power to charge).
