I recently had to install Windows 11 from a USB for a friend building a PC.
The last time I did that was Windows 7, and oh boy, has that process been enshittified to hell since then.
Honestly, I think I will refuse to install Windows when helping with future PC builds, just because it was such a pain-in-the-ass. The amount of adware you had to actively refuse, through a maze of dark-pattern designs was borderline dystopian.
