From Cincinnati Zoo
Louise (Lou) our female bat eared fox being cute. 🥰
From the African savannah, the bat eared foxes are not true foxes, but are the sole member of their sister-genus, Otocyon.
Besides the big ears, bat eared foxes also have more teeth than any non-marsupial land animal, with 46-50 teeth.

They are possibly named after the Egyptian Slit Faced Bat, who also have quite exceptionally large ears.

This looks like a fake animal, i love her so much
She is a for real cutie pie!
Wait, you usually post owls and birds, ickplant posts foxes… MY WORLD HAS BEEN TURNED UPSIDE-DOWN!
But seriously, Lou is adorable!
I needed a place to share cool non-owl stuff I come across, so I’ve been here for a few weeks now.
I’ve shared a few of my pics of me hold opossums too, some here I think, and some in ickplant’s posts. I’ve been working with a bunch of baby opossums recently that have been really sweet and too cute to not share.
I’m close to getting ickplant to volunteer rehabbing animals too. 😊 It’s all part of my master scheme to get you all rescuing wildlife!
That smile! I just can’t…
And a very chubby, boopable nose!
Corgi facial expression.
Aww, now I had hoped they had those fluffy corgi buns too, but alas, they lack the thickness. 😔

Blah! Blah!
*flaps away*
I do not say blah blah blah!
Ok, not picking on you but are they “bat eared fixes” or “bat eared foxes”? You seem to jump between the two both in post and comment so I was confused.
Either was they are cute and would snuggle but getting feeling that would result in my face being ripped off.
Ugh, I’m throwing the blame on Gboard for this.
I write my posts as one big thing and then chop it up with copy/paste if I want to break it up, and I’m wondering if it tried to autocorrect me when I pasted the sections in.
Every so often it gets in the mood to change all my “owl” to “iwl” and that gets me very frustrated. It may be my most used word and you still can’t figure that out?!
Well thanks for pointing it out, I think I’ve got them all fixed now.
Am I right that snuggling would result in lack of a face?
Mmm…maybe not a complete lack of face…the mouth looks pretty skinny.
I can almost guarantee you’d have at least 51% of a face left.
