My closest city HAS a bus route, but they are long past their peak of public transit. The bus routes are longer because funding cuts forced them to cut back on the number of busses they have. The drivers are always nice, but they skip stops when they fall behind schedule.
A 30 minute trip to and from the store in a car becomes a 4-5 hour slog on loud uncomfortable rattling busses where I have to sit next to some rando who sometimes smells like piss.
I long for easy public transit, I don’t want to drive anymore.
Just take the tram (if you got one)
Most places I’ve visited don’t have trams, but there’s sometimes a bus service.
