A name I havent heard in a long time…
I’m sure there are some young folks here who doesnt even know what was that
Google+ made ~11 year old me feel like a badass hacker tech enthusiast for using a niche social media platform
I thought I was cool
We were though
It was so much better than Facebook, but if course Google mismanaged it to death.
I just remember that srupid app being installed on my phones and never opening it or caring about it
Well it died
I just want to turn off shorts completely. I know there are extensions that kind of do it, but they all cause problems for me while browsing videos.
If you have ublock origin, you can make them functionally disappear:
Copy the link below, go to uBlock Origin > Dashboard > Filter lists, scroll to the bottom, and paste the link underneath the ‘Import…’ heading:

Actually made YouTube a non-cancerous experience for me
I’ll give that a try, but I’m not expecting it to work. All the other solutions have cause the feed to “rubber band” around randomly as I scroll when the shorts are dynamically removed from the feed.
I would love a way to block a creator or sponsor
