The #US hit #Iran for the sixth consecutive night, as vital infrastructure in the country’s southern provinces were targeted. Iran responded by launching missiles on US #military assets in the region, including in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrein, Oman, Jordan, and Syria.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated the US is “terrified” of Iran’s “sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz,” as it accused Washington of destabilising the security in the critical transit corridor.
Despite having struck Iran repeatedly, the White House stated that US President #Trump is still “open to diplomacy”.
Meanwhile, Iran has asked #Yemen’s #Houthis to close the #BabAlMandab July 17, 2026 strait if the US continues to attack power infrastructure.
