It is a little zippered bag. Currently using it to hold stuff from my pants pockets at night when I go to bed.
All of our class projects use scrap material. I had found the inner material while looking for stuff for a different project. I could not find anything that would go well with it, but I think it does well with this bag as a surprise lining.
Edit: I was asked about the pattern, I got this video from the class syllabus. When opening it while not logged into YouTube I got tons of recommendations for other videos making the same bag.

How is the bag shape made?
It started as an 8" x 11" rectangle. Once the inner & outer material, and liner are sewn to the zipper a 1" x 1" square is cut from the corners, then that opening is sewn shut giving it the shape.
We did not have a pattern per se, our teacher had bags in various states to illustrate each step.
This looks like a fun project to do with the kids, so I have some questions! Hope you don’t mind.
You basically had a three layer rectangle with half of the zipper along each long edge, and a square about as big as the final small ends cut out of the middle of the short edges?
Why is there an inner layer between the outer and liner?
How do you (or DO you?) connect the two ends of the zipper strips?
Rough diagram attached.
I think it is a variation of this. https://craftingwithclementine.com/packing-cube-2-0/
Edit: I watched part of the video in that and it is not quite the same. The end result does look similar, so that may be a good place to start while I try to recall the steps.
I found the video the instructor used in our syllabus. I have not watched the video, so I have no idea if it is the exact same as what we made. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr_A8Zfbq9w
I’ll give it a watch, thank you bury much!
I am not logged into YouTube, and when viewing that video it gives me tons of similar videos for the same thing. Lots to choose from.
