I’ve been running Cachy on my laptop for a year and a half, and my desktop for 10 months. It has by far been the smoothest linux experience I’ve had.

I used bazzite for about 6 months on my laptop, and its great but I ran into too many headaches with the immutable aspect trying to use it for everything besides gaming. I used LMDE after bazzite for almost a year, and it too had frustrations.

Yeah, that stickyness is called rubber reversion. Every device with that soft touch rubber coating will eventually do it. It comes off easily with alcohol. With a little effort you can clean it off and have a perfectly fine plastic mouse without the rubber texture or stickiness.

I have many old devices still in use that just stripped off the coating when it went bad.
